Glasgow Mechanic is a trading name of Matter Logic Limited (company no. 16768499, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ). We are the data controller for information you send through this website. Contact: hello@glasgowmechanic.co.uk.
What we collect
When you book, we collect your name, email, phone (if you give one), postcode, vehicle details, the service you need and your message. Hosting and email providers may process technical data such as IP address and browser details to deliver and secure the site.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange the work, keep records, prevent spam and meet our legal obligations. We use your details to schedule and carry out your requested service, and rely on legitimate interests to respond to you and keep the site secure.
Who we share it with
Your contact and vehicle details are used solely to organise and complete the requested repair or service. We also use Cloudflare (hosting) and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell your data or add you to marketing lists.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Retention
We keep enquiry records for up to 12 months. If you become a customer, the repairing technician or garage keeps its own records for as long as it needs to.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, object to some processing, or withdraw consent. Email hello@glasgowmechanic.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
